IMPERIAL MAJESTY CRUISE LINE ASSISTS HURRICANE VICTIMS OF 2008

Imperial Majesty Cruise Line, which has been sailing short cruises from Port Everglades to the Bahamas since 1999, has put its operation on hold to help with disaster relief efforts for several Texas Gulf Coast communities damaged by Hurricane Ike.

Imperial Majesty’s 21,909-ton “Regal Empress“, which can accommodate 1,068 guests, will provide accommodations for engineers, analysts and other relief personnel in the Galveston area. “This decision was not made easily as we balanced it against the cruises that have already been booked by our valued customers,” Imperial Majesty Cruise Line has decided to support those  with the greatest needs in a time of crisis.  Imperial Majesty apologizes for any inconvenience to our customers.

Port Everglades officials commended Martin Salzedo (President) and Imperial Majesty on their willingness to assist with relief efforts in Texas. Imperial Majesty has been the longest-running short cruise client at Port Everglades, offering two-night cruises to the Bahamas since 1999. In the past decade, approximately 2.4 million passengers have sailed with Imperial Majesty Cruise Line. We are the only Port Everglades cruise line to offer regularly scheduled two-night cruises. Passengers booked on an upcoming Imperial Majesty cruise should call 877-772-4625 for any questions or concerns regarding their cruise.

We look forward to serving our loyal and new passengers in the near future.
